Special worship and enrichment opportunities:

April 18: On Sunday, April 18, 2010, the Rev. Dr. Betsy Schwarzentraub will provide us with an uplifting sermon on the importance of a local church endowment fund and of estate planning as part of great Christian steward- ship. Then right after the 10:30 am worship service, we will enjoy refreshments while Betsy and Susan Peters, the California-Nevada United Methodist Foundation Executive Director, lead a workshop on endow- ments and planned giving options, offering ways that you can include our church in your estate plan. It’s that time of year again. As we prepare for the Bazaar, we look forward to your wonderful donations of cakes, cook- ies, brownies, cupcakes, pies, breads, peanut brittle and other candies from your kitchens. We hope that you will de-
light us again this year with your amazing baking which we all love so much.

Church Helpers Needed
It takes many hearts, hands and minds to put all the pieces of our worship puzzle together. Authoring the
sermon, making musical selections, coordinating numerous audio visual enhancements and beautifying the
altar are just the obvious items. Then there’s recruiting liturgists, ushers, greeters and acolytes, purchasing
flowers, changing the banners, downloading software for a video, putting out the nametags, getting bread for
communion, preparing the announcements, and the list goes on and on. All of these things are done with love to make our worship service what it is. All of these things require a great deal of time when done by only a few. Would you consider volunteering to help keep our worship service special?Please contact jennifersuter@yahoo.com with any questions you may have or to sign up for the fun.

Please consider the following when preparing your baked goods: Package your baked goods in containers that do not need to be returned. All donations will be repackaged for
selling. If at all possible, bring donations to Del Oro High School on Friday evening when you come to help with Kushiyaki, or by 9 AM Saturday morning. While an early start on repackaging your donations is appreciated, we will accept your goods anytime during the Bazaar. Items requiring refrigeration cannot be accepted. A tag describing your donation (example: oatmeal cookies with nuts) would be appreciated.
